Responsibilities

  • The Recording Specialist is responsible for reviewing all executed recording documents for accuracy of the borrower’s signature, accuracy of the legal description, notary execution of the documents as required by each state.
  • Confirm that all recording documents have been completed to meet the lender requirement
  • Submit recordable documents to the appropriate county for recording either via e-record or mailing to the county
  • Scan loan packages, prepare certified true recordables, ship loan documents to the lenders and the borrowers. File documents and maintain file cabinets organization
  • Resolve recording issues and questions. Involve the Team Lead on all escalations
  • Balance the file in RamQuest, identify shortages, set up recording refunds and verify the correct refund code has been applied
  • Manage daily workload effectively and efficiently. Follow the workflow for submitting documents for recording, noting the system, and completing the required events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Related experience in the title insurance industry or financial services organization is preferred
  • Experience with RamQuest closing operations system and all integration systems is preferred
  • National experience is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as title commitment, lender’s instructions, purchase contracts and other related documents required to verify the lender’s closing requirement have been met
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow workflow and manage their daily WIP
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Maintains flexible hours
